# MECANIK DEV LABS Website Security Scan

> A free website security scan by Mecanik Dev Ltd that explains public homepage security settings and provides a branded PDF with practical next steps.

The tool checks an authorised HTTPS homepage response. It does not perform penetration testing, run exploit payloads, crawl the site or certify that a website is secure. Security headers are optional additional protections whose suitability depends on the application.

## Use and reporting

Scan only a website you own or have permission to check. Use the browser form and its security verification. A visitor can select Keep report private to exclude the new scan from the public directory. New scans are public only when publication is explicitly requested by the current form. Historical scans are not published retroactively.

Public reports show the latest published snapshot for each website, including its domain, check time and sanitised findings. They are retained for up to 90 days. Private scans are not stored in the directory. An earlier public report is not removed by a later private scan. Visitors may share a private snapshot using an unlisted link that expires seven days after the scan, or download a PDF. Public reports do not contain visitor IPs, user agents, authorisation records or cookie values.

## Interpretation

Red findings call for urgent review, orange findings need attention, blue findings require context and green findings passed the observed check. Grey findings were not assessed. The displayed percentage counts passed scored checks and excludes context-dependent reviews and unassessed items. A missing header is not evidence of compromise; a good result is not a full security assessment. Do not infer malware status or vulnerability absence from this tool.
